The Tourism & Hospitality Department (JH) (formerly known as Jabatan Hospitaliti) of Polytechnic Sultan Idris Shah is a manifestation of the culture of excellence which is synonymous to the vision and mission stated by Polytechnic Sultan Idris Shah, Sabak Bernam. JH is highly concerned with the development and creation of quality graduates especially in tourism and hospitality industry as a step towards enriching the human capital pool locally or internationally.
In conjunction to full-fill the aspiration stated above, this website will be the medium for us to channel our news, information, activities and tourism hospitality spirit therefore JH will always moving forward and think a step beyond.
Till then, all the best in the future undertaking for all of our former students. To the new intake students of December 2011 session, congratulation and warm welcome from all of us. Your bright future starts here.

Bersempena nama rasmi jabatan, Jabatan Pelancongan & Hospitaliti (JPH) menggantikan logo lama Jabatan Hospitaliti (JH)
Pelancongan Tanah Tinggi di Malaysia
Submitted by jhpsis on Thu, 01/19/2012 - 09:38Di Malaysia, sektor pelancongan mula bertapak sejak zaman kolonial British di Tanah Melayu lagi. Ini terbukti melalui pembukaan pusat peranginan seperti Cameron Highlands, Genting Highlands, Penang Hill (Bukit Bendera) dan Fraser Hill (Bukit Fraser). Menurut Khoo Kay Kim dalam kertas kerjanya yang bertajuk `An Outline History of Culture of Tourism in Malaysia From Culture to Nature’ , sejarah pelancongan di Malaysia sebenarnya masih awal.
Pelancongan tanah tinggi merupakan suatu bentuk pelancongan yang semakin mendapat perhatian pelancong domestik dan antarabangsa di Malaysia. Antara kawasan pelancongan tanah tinggi di negara ini ialah Cameron Highlands, Genting Highlands dan Bukit Fraser (Pahang), Bukit Bendera (Pulau Pinang), Bukit Larut (Perak), Gunung Jerai dan Gunung Mat Chincang (Kedah), Taman Negara Mulu (Sarawak) dan Taman Negara Kinabalu (Sabah).

Farewell and thank you to Mr. Azhan Nawi (red shirt) for his excellent service during his time here at JPH. Starting from 5th of December 2011, he is officially working at Politeknik Arau, Perlis. May great future is ahead him and his family.
