Polytechnic Sultan Idris Shah (PSIS) formerly known as Polytechnic Sabak Bernam start operated on 16th May 2003 is the 17th polytechnic that was established under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE).

Hospitality Department (JH) is one of many main academics department that available in Polytechnic Sultan Idris Shah, Sabak Bernam. The first batch of students has been registered in January 2004. Our department keep looking and moving forward to serve the polytechnic and the nation only the best.

JH is divided into two (2) units. The Hotel Catering Management & Tourism Management is fully equipped with facilities such as training hotel, kitchen, swimming pool, Recreation Lake, computer labs and many more. These facilities will assist our staff and lecturers to deliver the knowledge and skills in term of theory and practical to the students.

JH is responsible in enhancing the program offered by handling variety of courses, publications and two ways co-operation with the industries and also communities. This will absolutely give a good platform to the students to be more “industry ready” when they enter the real world industries in future.

Starting on 1st January 2011, JH now known as Jabatan Pelancongan & Hospitaliti. Decision made by Jabatan Pengajian Polieknik.
